Q. When is the deadline for submitting my
application? |
A. May 30th of the year for which the
assistance is being requested. |
|
Q. Besides
an application, what other information is required? |
A. Financial aid information,
your final, certified transcript from your most recently completed
academic year; 3 recommendations (first time applicants only); your
federal income tax return; your parents' federal income tax return
(undergraduate applicants only) |
|
Q. What
should I bring to the interview? |
A. The interview, including
dress, is informal. You need only bring any required information
that you have not yet provided. If that is not yet available, you
must provide it when it is available. |
|
Q. What happens to my application if
I am unable to attend the interview? |
A. The interview is conducted
to enable the Foundation's representatives to get to know you. It
also allows you to ask any questions that you or your parents may
have. Interviews are usually held over a three-day period during the
first two weeks in July. If there is a good reason for you not to
attend (e.g. a family vacation; you are working; you have already started
school), you will be excused or one or both of your parents or a guardian
may attend in your place. Being unable to attend will not make you
ineligible for assistance; however, it is beneficial for both you and the
Foundation if you are there. |
|
Q. When will I know if
I am to receive assistance from the Foundation? |
A. Award notifications are
usually sent out during the first or second week of August. |
|
Q. Who can
I contact if I have any questions? |
A. Questions may be sent to us at our e-mail address, or you may call (717)233-7927 (the telephone will be answered "CSR-Abrams") and ask for someone who can answer questions about the Samuel L. Abrams Foundation. |
